ch 6

in chapter 6 we learn about gatsby's real past. he was a poor young man that dropped out of college. his job was fishing for salmon and digging for clams. one day he saw a yacht so he went out and told the captain about a storm coming in and this guy took gatsby in and also gave him his name we call him. this rich guy died and left gatsby 25,000 dollars and also made gatsby want to be wealthy, so this is the reason he worked so hard to be wealthy. then is goes on to talk about tom was at gatsby's house and is starting to hint that something is going on between daisy and gatsby. gatsby has a party and tom and daisy both come and gatsby notices that daisy wasn't having a good time. he talks to nick about it and says he wants them to be like they were in the old days when they were younger.
