chapter 11

In chapter 11 the characters are the loud soldier, Henry, and the soldiers. it starts off with Henry waking up and hearing the booming sounds of the battle growing louder. the roads were full and they said that they were retreating. it made a lot of the youth feel comforted, but the battles are not over. now henry has been talking to some soldiers and doesn't want everyone to think bad about him. he want to go to the front of the line, but he says he doesn't have his rifle. All the way till the end of the book it talks about henry not wanting all the soldiers too know him as the one who runs during battle. my question is why doesn't he get a gun from a dead soldier, cause i'm sure there are many guns just laying around.
