chapter 3

In chapter 3 the characters are still the same people as chapter 2. this chapter starts out by sleeping close to the enemy and many soldiers were afriad they might get killed in their sleep. the next morning soldiers were on their way to fight and they heard guns firing. many were excited and started to run to where everyone else was going. Once Henry got their, he saw the battle field and said it didn't look like he expected, and nothing was how he expected. during the day he started to remember the cows he hated when he was home, but now misses them and misses his mother. he wants to go home and doesn't think he is where he is suppose to be. My question is why is the loud soldier saying he is going to die, is he shot already or what is going on?
