chapter 12

The characters in this chapter are a nice soldier and Henry. It starts off by saying they lost the battle, and they enemy kept pushing them back farther and farther, and pretty soon he thinks they will just swallow them or kill them all. henry was trying to figure out what was going on, so he tried to ask a soldier, but instead he got hit in the head by a rifle. Henry didn't know what was going on since he ran. Everyone was retreating now and everyone seemed to be crazy. He was hit pretty hard and couldn't walk very well, so a soldier walking along helped him out and brought him to hes regiment. My question is who was the nice soldier who helped Henry?
