chapter 5
The characters in chapter 5 are Henry, Youth, and the Generals. The chapter starts off with another battle, but this time they are waiting for the enemy to charge at them, which is happening during the begining of the chapter. The General told them to hold fire till the enemy was close enough to kill. Thats what they did and later in the day, they were able to stop the rage of the enemy and they made them turn around and run. Henry and the other soldiers cheered and yelled, "We've held um back." My question for this chapter is why don't they talk about they fighting, like people getting shot and make it more graphic and more interesting? They just talks about Henry's feelings it seems and it doesn't even do that very good. This book just keeps geting more boring and more boring and makes it hard to understand whats going.
